Thigh Lift Houston

As women age and experience weight fluctuations or pregnancy, it is not uncommon for them to develop laxity on the inner and outer thighs.

This laxity (which manifests as loose skin, saddlebags, and inner thigh fat pockets) is often difficult to tone, and many women feel as though the only thing to do is cover their thighs with jeans, tights, and long dresses.

Thigh lift surgery with Dr. Kronowitz reduces the circumference of the thigh and eliminates excess, sagging skin.

Dr. Kronowitz is the only plastic surgeon in Houston who performs the inner and outer thigh lift with a hidden incision.

Am I a Candidate for Thigh Lift Surgery?

Women who are considering thigh lift surgery with Dr. Kronowitz are unhappy with the appearance of their inner and outer thighs but do not want the scar that results from traditional thigh lift surgery (that extends from the groin to the knee).

Candidates for thigh lift surgery do not smoke, are in good overall health, and have realistic expectations of their results.

What Are the Benefits of a Thigh Lift?

Women consider thigh lift surgery to:

  • Remove excess skin on the inner and outer thigh
  • Reduce the circumference of the thigh
  • Eliminate “saddlebags”
  • Elevate and tighten the buttocks
  • Lessen the appearance of cellulite

How Is Thigh Lift Surgery Performed?

Thigh lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia with the assistance of an anesthesiologist.

Dr. Kronowitz offers many techniques and combinations for this procedure—making him the go-to thigh lift surgeon in Houston.

What Is an Outer Thigh Lift?

Dr. Kronowitz performs the outer thigh lift, also known as a stocking lift or a spiral thigh lift, with a hidden incision.

This incision begins in the groin area, extends down, and wraps around the back of the thigh. The placement of these incisions allows for no visible scarring when wearing shorts or skirts.

Dr. Kronowitz lifts and secures the skin and underlying tissue matrix around the circumference of the thigh. This 360-degree lift allows for the improvement of the legs, hips, and buttocks.

You may be a candidate for a minimal incision medial thigh lift that limits the incision to the groin only.

What Is an Inner Thigh Lift?

Not all patients require or want the outer thigh lift with a buttock lift. Patients who only have skin laxity and excess fat on the inside of the leg can benefit from an inner thigh lift.

Dr. Kronowitz will evaluate your extent of laxity during your consultation and recommend the best technique for you.

Should I Combine My Thigh Lift Surgery With a Tummy Tuck?

Many patients choose to combine their outer thigh lift with a tummy tuck to address excess skin and fat on the abdomen.

The tummy tuck incision is weaved into the thigh lift incision and can be easily concealed beneath underwear or bathing suits. This incision runs between the hips above the pubic region.

How Long Is My Thigh Lift Recovery?

Your thigh lift is an outpatient procedure, and you will return home shortly after the operation.

You may have compression garments wrapped around the thighs and midsection (if you are undergoing the outer thigh lift/buttock lift or the outer thigh lift/tummy tuck). These compression garments should be worn around the clock to reduce swelling, promote blood flow, and protect the healing incisions.

Since Dr. Kronowitz places the incisions in the groin area, there will be no resulting scars when wearing shorts or short dresses.

Most patients return to work and their day-to-day activity within one to two weeks, but strenuous exercise—including running or leg weights—should be avoided for at least six weeks.

How Much Does Thigh Lift Surgery Cost?

Dr. Kronowitz offers many varieties of the thigh lift so that you can achieve your desired results. Since this procedure is tailored to you and your specific needs, there is no way to provide an accurate cost estimate until after your consultation.

These prices are the starting estimates and may vary significantly once anesthesia fees, and facility fees are factored in.

When Will I See My Thigh Lift Results?

The results of your thigh lift are apparent almost immediately following your surgery, and these results will improve over the following weeks as the bruising and swelling subside and the tissues settle.

Thigh lift surgery provides long-lasting—if not permanent—results, barring significant weight fluctuations. You can help maintain the results of your thigh lift by following a healthy lifestyle.
